The lawyers at Sterc also lecture at various training institutes, including the Dutch Legal Practice Academy (Academie voor de Rechtspraktijk) and the Dutch Employment Law Institute (Instituut voor Arbeidsrecht). We train professionals, including other lawyers and HR specialists, and we regularly are asked to speak at conferences, staff meetings and conventions.

Ralph Jan van der Ham completed the Grotius specialisation training in employment law, graduating summa cum laude. He is on the editorial staff of RAR, an employment law journal, and he is a lecturer at training courses on subjects that include social plans, non-competition clauses and co-determination law. Ralph Jan has published articles on directorships and other employment law matters. He also has a great deal of knowledge of and experience in employment law matters in the healthcare sector.
Ralph Jan studied Dutch law as well as Culture, Organisation and Management. Ralph Jan is a member of the Dutch Employment Law Association (Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht), the Dutch Employment Lawyers’ Association (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland), the Dutch Corporate Litigation Association (Vereniging Corporate Litigation) and the Dutch Health Law Association (Vereniging voor Gezondheidsrecht).
Cathelijn Derks successfully completed the post-academic course in employment law (Post Academische Leergang Arbeidsrecht). She regularly publishes articles on a variety of subjects related to employment law, including international legal relationships, and she is a lecturer at courses and workshops for professionals, including HR managers. She has supervised major reorganisations, negotiated social plans and advised clients in connection with both collective and individual dismissal matters.
Cathelijn is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers’ Association (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland).
